CBC-1 CASK & BOTTLE CONDITIONING YEAST

Specifically selected from the Lallemand Yeast Collection for its refermentation properties and recommended for Cask and Bottle Conditioning. CBC-1 referments beer efficiently due to its high resistance to alcohol and pressure; the flavor is neutral therefore conserving the original character of the beer. The yeast will settle and form a tight mat at the end of refermentation. CBC-1 can also be used for primary fermentation of Champagne-like beers, fruit beers and cider.
How to use CBC-1 CASK & BOTTLE CONDITIONING YEAST.
1. Begin by washing and sanitizing all equipment and surfaces used for your cask and bottle conditioning yeast. Ensure all surfaces and equipment are completely dry before beginning the process.
2. Prepare the cask or bottle with a priming sugar solution. Dissolve the priming sugar (dextrose or sucrose) into a small amount of boiling water and then let the mixture cool to room temperature.
3. Add the cask or bottle conditioning yeast into the priming sugar solution. Make sure that the water temperature is within the recommended range as listed on the yeast package instructions.
4. Once the yeast is added, stir the mixture to ensure it is well mixed and make sure that all of the yeast is submerged.
5. Seal the cask or bottle with an appropriate stopper to prevent contamination of your beer. Place the cask or bottle in an area that is cool and free of light.
6. Allow the cask or bottle to sit for 1-2 weeks or until desired carbonation is achieved.
7. When carbonation is achieved, the cask or bottle may be opened and the beer will be ready to enjoy.
